PMC(Professional
Management Consultant)
Designation

n Anyone can call himself an "engineer", but only a select few can put "P.E." after their names.

n Anyone can call herself an "accountant", but only a select few can put "CPA" after their names.

n Anyone can call himself a "consultant", but only a select few can put "PMC" after their names!

The PMC designation is your assurance that the consultant you are talking to or meeting with is a true professional. A consultant can only acquire PMC status by documented achievements in four areas, what we call the four "E"s.

n Education: Consultants applying for the PMC designation must document educational accomplishments appropriate to their areas of expertise.

n Experience: Only consultants who have been practicing full time for at least two years can even apply for the PMC designation.

n Expertise: A Professional Management Consultant walks the walk by writing books or articles, or teaching workshops or seminars, in his or her areas of industry experience and functional expertise.

n Execution: Applicants for the PMC designation must supply at least three client references, and those references are checked and verified by our Program Committee.

Professional Management Consultants are easy to spot. They put a "PMC" after their names, they wear the official PMC lapel pin, they provide you with a copy of their PMC certification, and they affix a PMC crest to their correspondence, proposals and other important documents. You can verify that a consultant claiming to be a PMC is truly a PMC by contacting us at thebureau@consultantsbureau.org.
When you engage a consultant who is a PMC, you are engaging the best of the best, and a true professional!
